Ghostly mobsters and modern murder make for an exciting read

There is ample humor, an intriguing mystery, and more than a dash of charming romance. I absolutely adore Frankie, Verity's ghostly companion, a former wise guy. When you come from a world of guns, mobsters, speakeasies and high action, it's no surprise that being tied to an urn cramps your style - particularly when trips to the dollar store and the library are your main excursions. Verity is still trying to make a go of her graphic design business, but her ex's mom has made life extremely difficult. She is more successful when it comes to becoming involved in murder. The Haunted Heist has some of the most wonderful sequences of ghostly action - from a speakeasy where dead villains regularly top each other off for entertainment to a high speed car chase involving ghostly pursuers and a Tommy gun. Expect a fun murder mystery, as well as resolutions to a few issues. Will Verity and Ellis date in the open? Will Verity admit that ghost hunting is her calling? I won't tell you the answers.
