I adore Simon’s Cat. Simon Tofield masterfully captures life as a cat owner, the fun and the frustrations, the smiles and of course the laughter. Whether clowns or mischief makers, we love our cuddly, curious, and sometimes destructive companions. Simon’s Cat doesn’t talk or act human, he is simply a cat, a delightful duplicitous feline just like the ones we share our homes with.
One of the most difficult tasks cat parents face is the dreaded vet visit. Instinctively, our cats know what is coming and do their best to thwart our efforts. Comedy of epic, and often frustrating proportions ensues. Simon Tofield does a marvelous job capturing the hilarity in his imaginative and beautifully illustrated new book Simon’s Cat Off to the Vet…and Other Cat-astrophes.
